Desert Obelisk

***SDV 1.4 added in an obelisk to teleport you to the desert. This mod isn't needed in 1.4 (only unhidden for people still playing in 1.3)****

This mod  adds a desert obelisk that you buy from the wizard which lets you warp to the desert! It costs 1,000,000g (like the other obelisks), 10 Iridium Bars, and 10 Solar Essence. Note that it only unlocks when you have access to the desert.

For Starblue Valley users:
This mod is also compatible with Starblue Valley by default (if you have Starblue Valley installed, you don't need to do anything and the obelisk will match Starblue's color scheme).

For Content Pack creators:
This mod supports content packs! Simply create a content pack that has a 'Desert Obelisk.png' image file inside an assets folder in your content pack, and the mod will load that as the obelisk image.

A craftable desert warp totem will be added to this mod after the multiplayer update comes out. Sorry that I couldn't add it now!

Requires SMAPI v2.5+ by Pathoschild. Huge thanks to Minerva for creating all the sprites!

Place the DesertObelisk folder inside of your Stardew Valley/Mods folder to install.

**In multiplayer, the host must have the mod installed for the game to not crash at the end of the day. Farmhands need the mod to be able to also build the obelisk.**

The 1.2.0 update fixed a bug where obelisks were not unique for each of your save files. This also means that any saved obelisks in the 1.1.0 format won't work with the 1.2.0 format. Sorry about the inconvenience!
Guide for upgrading from 1.1.0 to 1.2.0:
  • Load the save where the obelisk used to be. Do whatever you need to do for the day, then go to sleep.
  • After you wake up, close the game and go to the Stardew Valley\Mods folder.
  • Copy and paste the contents of DesertObelisk\savedObelisks.json into DesertObelisk\saves\<your character name>_<some number>_savedObelisks.json.
  • You're all set, you can now delete DesertObelisk\savedObelisks.json.
